BakBone Adds Hammer to its Channel Tool Box
Leading Storage Distributor Completes its Data Protection Solutions Set with BakBone
Reading, UK — 18th September 2008 — BakBone Software® (BKBO.PK), the leading provider of heterogeneous integrated data protection solutions, announced today a new distribution contract with Hammer, effective across Europe but with key focus in the key European regions of the UK and Nordics, as well as the fast-growing markets of Italy and Belgium. Although BakBone and Hammer have previously worked together on a specific range of third-party solutions, this new agreement will enable Hammer to resell the entire BakBone product family to its channel.
Hammer already offers several storage solutions, and this new partnership with BakBone will enable the company to put forward a complete data protection product range.
Jason Beeson, solutions sales director at Hammer explains, ‘We found ourselves with a gap in our data protection offering that needed to be filled. Having worked with BakBone before, we knew it had the product set to complete our range. In a market where retaining and protecting data is a priority for most businesses, we are delighted to be working with BakBone again and taking the NetVault product range to our resellers”.
BakBone chose Hammer because its broad reach in the UK channel enables the vendor to grow its reseller base. The agreement will also play an integral part in the company’s development in the Nordic markets. ‘This new relationship with Hammer fits well with our strategic growth plans, enabling us to develop our market visibility in the UK and to expand our presence in the Nordics,’ said Chris Ross, VP of EMEA, BakBone. ‘We are also excited about the prospect of breaking into new and expanding markets, such as in Italy and Belgium. At BakBone we are very pleased to be working with Hammer again and to have the opportunity to build upon our already successful relationship.’
